A few days ago I received in my mail this 3D image of Don Tancredo, the Executioner. It goes without saying that I was surprised. The author is Pablo "Wayfa" FG and if anyone wants to see more of his work he can do so in his blog (http://wayfarer.blogspot.es/)

AGEO-1 Parte 1

A.

I give you AGEO (Androide Guardaespaldas Extremadamente Obeso tipo 1 -Extremely Obese Android Bodyguard Mark 1-)
The origin of this drawing has a little story behind: a woman at the office has a son that sometimes comes to go back home with her. As she lives far away, she gets a bit scared and doesn´t want to remain late. The funny thing is that her “baby” is seven feet tall, a cross between a sumo wrestler and a mammoth. What thief would dare to approach her with him at her side?!
This is the product of fooling around with a pencil.

PD: If I do not write again it´s because the baby trampled me under his feet.

Catafractos / Cataphracts

Acording to the way they taught me history at school, everything seemed to rise spontaneously out of nothing. The evolutionary process did not exist. A bell rings and the Middle Ages begin; another bell rings and the Renaissance begins, and on, and on....

Such is the case of the medieval knights, a type of heavy cavalry, which consists of a lance-wielding armored rider on a big horse, who charges in big numbers the enemy head on.

But this type of rider has his origin in Uzbekistan, where the Massagetans developed this form of cavalry (cataphracts) to face invaders from the Asian steppes, and the idea was so good that it was adopted by Parthians, Persians, Romans, Byzantines and others, who created their own units.

These are sketshes of Persian catafracts.
The coloured version is a recent experiment in the use of water-colours, which I had not used for a long time, so that I had to start from scratch.

Legiones & Falanges/Legions & Phalanxs

These drawings are what is left of a work that I took up because I needed the money. At any other time, I wouldn´t have undertaken it or I´d have negotiate
d better rates and working conditions … Anyway, the result (predictable, but at that time I could not see it) was that I had to do them in a hurry, they were not payed, the original artwork got lost, etc. At least I never signed any copyright transfer and that's why I include them in this post.
These are the pencils of the Roman Legion, Greek and Macedonian phalanxes, etc.
I´ll be posting the colour versions soon.

Verdugos

This is a 4-page comic I did years ago for the “Hacha” magazine.
Perhaps the most outstanding thing about it is that it was one of the few times that I tried to do both the script and the art. Generally, I believe that a story benefits from the exchange of ideas between scriptwriter and artist. In many cases, when only one person is in charge of both tasks, the final result is not up to expectations …
Obviously, everything depends on his (if it´s only one person) capacity of theirs (if there are two) at the moment of creating the story.
In any case, in spite of all the years gone by, I still like this tale.

Betty/3

A.

This is my first “Betty” page. Actually, these are three different versions of the first page, because I was not altogether happy with the results. But do not worry: there are only two versions of the second page, and by the time I tackled the third one I already knew what I wanted to do, so only I did it once.
